Our Little Crew
Pastor Benjamin Jepsen
Ben graduated from Briercrest in April 2011. He was our interim youth pastor in the summer of 2010 and is well aquainted with the faces and needs of Grand Forks youth, having grown up in Grand Forks and having attended Gospel Chapel for most of his life. We welcome Ben's creative energy and leadership on our team.
Family: wife Shayna; daughter Norah; son Miles.
Hobbies: biking, video games, writing, and anything Canucks.
Community Care Coordinator Tammy Battersby
Tammy was born in the Grand Forks Hospital but was raised and grew up in the Kettle Valley (Rock Creek) area. She came to Grand Forks as of June 2013. Tammy has a heart for empowering people.
Family: husband Mark; 2 adult daughters; a teenage son.
Hobbies: gardening, painting, Skip Bo, 4x4-ing, and country drives.
Administrative Secretary Brenda Semenoff
Brenda has lived in Grand Forks since 1982. She has been the Administrative Secretary since May 2006.
Family: husband David; son Nolan; daughter Kelsey married to Mark Noetzel.
Hobbies: music, reading, sports (especially running), drawing, and camping.
Elder Alex de Boeck
Alex has lived in Grand Forks since 1975, but was born in Belgium and immigrated to Canada at age 6.
Family: wife Sandra; 5 grown and married children; 16 grandchildren.
Hobbies: music (guitar & singing), motorcycling, sports (esp. soccer & hockey), and carpentry.
Elder Rick Gill
Rick was born in Edmonton, grew up at the coast and Trail/Rossland, and came to Grand Forks in 1972. He is retired from paving, but occasionally works part time for Selkirk Paving. He has a passion for young people and especially prodigals.
Family: wife Toni; 1 daughter and 3 adult stepchildren; 7 grandchildren.
Hobbies: horseback riding, camping, puttering.
Elder Dan Dunbar
Dan has lived in Grand Forks since August 2013 but previously lived in various places in BC (Vancouver Island, Langley, Elkford, Sparwood) and Alberta (Calgary, Edmonton).
Family: wife Doris; 3 married children; 10 grandchildren.
Hobbies: reading, painting, puttering, yard work, and fishing.
Elder Ian Robins
Ian was born in Cairo Egypt, moved to England at age 7, moved to Australia shortly after, travelled, and ended up in Canada in 1988. He has a special heart for the CMA—Christian Motorcycle Association ministry.
Family: wife Val; 2 grown sons in Australia; 3 grandchildren.
Hobbies: gardening, playing guitar, fly fishing, and skiing.
